Salvation

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9
How can I be saved?

Step 1

Understand God’s Original Design

God created us to be in a relationship with Him and to experience life to the fullest (John 3:16, John 10:10).

He wants to give us eternal life filled with purpose, peace, joy, and love.

Step 2

The Sin Issue

We are all sinners by nature and by choice, and our sin separates us from God (Romans 3:23).

Sin leads to spiritual death (Romans 6:23).

The penalty for our sins must be paid in order for us to be made right with God again.

The Bible makes it clear that we cannot atone for our sins on our own, but only through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Step 3

Jesus

Jesus is the only path into a right relationship with God.

What we believe about Jesus is important.

We must believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, who came to earth to be born of a virgin. He died, rose again on the third day, once and for all paying the penalty for our sins (Romans 5:8, 1 Peter 3:18).

Step 4

Our Response

We must respond by repenting of our sins and confessing Jesus Christ as Lord (1 John 1:9, Romans 10:9, 1 John 5:1, John 1:12).

God, in turn, causes us to be born again by his Holy Spirit, and Jesus offers a personal relationship with us, inviting us to trust Him with our lives.

Baptism

Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures
